Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known for playing Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she garnered the Emmy Award. Her credits comprise All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive from the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. As a child, Delaney fantasized of being a court reporter. Her modeling career began at the age of 14 and later landed commercials when she moved from the south of England to New York.
