The moment Jim and Sasha Allen got on The Voice Live Shows, they set records because Sasha is the first openly transgender performer on the NBC contest show to advance past to the Battle Rounds in the entire 21 seasons. The duo, are from Newtown, Conn., has taken it even a step higher to make it into the Top 8! Sasha made it known that he was transgender at the time they presented their audition packages at the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com the decision was not a quick decision. Sasha said it was hard to make a decision because he was required to display a fragile side of himself the presence of millions. He made the transition while the time was when he was in high school. "But [last week during the week of fan-worship], witnessing people's support and responses and how that has impacted individuals really proved that it was worth it and an appropriate choice although it was hard to come up with." "'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' is a song that has been on a list of songs that we'd wanted to perform on The Voice for quite a long time,"" Sasha told Parade.com. The song was played before The Voice even existed. We were thrilled to receive it. We knew the song. already knew, it was a track we had already thought of arranging. They really hit the mark."
